Roots Rising: Our Past, Our Protest

The goal of this workshop is to help Jewish college students uncover and craft personal and family histories of exile and resilience, learn about the Jewish legacy in global justice movements, and turn these stories into powerful tools to counter antisemitism, anti-Zionism, and anti-Israel rhetoric on campus.
Part storytelling circle, part social justice lab, Roots Rising invites participants to explore how history, heritage, and personal narrative shape modern activism. Through reflection and discussion, the workshop helps connect ancestral resilience to present-day movements, reminding each participant that our roots are not just where we come from - they’re what help us rise.
Signs, Rhymes & Resilience: An Activist Workshop

A creative crash course in turning conviction into expression. In this hands-on workshop, participants explore the art of protest through language, rhythm, and design, crafting their own activist signs, chants, and spoken-word pieces. Rooted in resilience and self-expression, Signs, Rhymes & Resilience transforms anger into artistry and hope into action.
